Kurama couldn't help but smile at one of his constant threats. It soon faded again from his features as his mind returned to the matter of going to demon world. "Are you going to wait for him?" he inquired as he watched the toushin's former rival leave them again. At this point he couldn't be sure of Yusuke's thoughts, so he had to ask.

"Feh, why not?" He sighed, shrugging once more. The young toushin tried very hard to play it as though he'd merely thought his friend should be with them for the fun of it. He was failing however, as one could very well see that he dearly wanted the lanky boy with them. He did, after all, need all the support, be it for him or unwillingly for him, he could get. A loud squawk from Puu interrupted his thoughts and caused him to look up alarmedly.

Kurama watched his expression as he spoke, seeing through his casual talk. He didn't comment, not wanting to give him anymore reason to feel uncomfortable. The squawk distracted him from his own thoughts, and he glanced up, following Yusuke's gaze to the giant pheonix.

The Spirit Beast was putting up a commotion, for some unusual reason. His actions usually meant that Yusuke was in some sort of trouble, but that clearly wasn't the case. Of course, unless you thought of internal happenings. The demonic aura of bluish white mixed youki and reiki flaring around the giant phoenix's form, signaling the unchecked flare of the Toushin's demonic energy. He winced, trying to quell it once more.

Kurama watched the spirit beast until he knew what his actions meant. The kitsune glanced back at Yusuke, a lightly nervous expression on his face, although he didn't let that get the better of him. "Can you keep it under control?" he asked him.

"For a while." He growled out, fists clenched tightly at his side as the faint tattoos appeared over his skin. He concentrated a tad bit more and Puu started to relax some, his counterpart's internal battle turning in Yusuke's favor. He sighed, "Darn it."

Kurama sighed quietly, letting his eyes close for a moment. "We can't really do much to stop it from happening unless you can keep your demon side at bay yourself," he told him, "If you think it might take over we may as well be in demon world, but let's hope it doesn't."

Yusuke sighed, looking over towards the kitsune, "I can keep it a bay...For awhile longer." He stated quietly. He didn't truly know how long he could quell it, but he knew he could for a certain amount of time at least. He shook his head, it hurt. Eyes closed slightly as Puu crooned soothingly, resting his head against Yusuke's.

Kurama turned toward him again and smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, eventualy it will begin to get easier." Of couse he couldn't tell yet what would happen before then.

"I hope you're right fox-boy." The raven-haired toushin groaned, allowing himself to sit on the steps, his head between his knees as his elbows rested on the aforementioned apendages. This was going to be a looong day. Especially if Kuwabara didn't hurry himself up with whatever in the seven levels of hell he was up to.

Kurama slipped both hands into his coat pockets, and looked off toward the city. For a moment it felt like any other day, when some of them would begin to complain about having nothing to do, and there really was nothing they could do until Kuwabara returned. The only difference was that they did have something to do, just not night now.

Yusuke remained in that pose for a while, his Spirit Beast having come over and settled behind him, watching his counterpart carefully. He was given time to think his actions over and wondered briefly if he should truly go through with his plan. That thought was soon banished however, when he remembered that if someone didn't stop this demon than he would go on killing humans. And that was something the raven-haired toushin would not put up with.

The vast array of items flying across the Kuwabara household accompanied by the horendous screaming of one Shizuru Kuwabara and incoherent pleading of one Kazuma Kuwabara ended quite nicely with Shizuru thrusting a freshly packed dufflebag towards the boy and kicking him to the curb with a great deal of ease. "You better have your ass back here by the end of the weekend or Eikichi meets the garbage disposal." And an unnecesary slamming of doors which rattled the frame of the entire house. Kazuma noe breathless hoisted himself from the curb and attempted to recover whatever sanity he hadn't just lost.

The young Toushin looked up once when Puu rested his head on his counterpart's crooning softly still. He hadn't been able to rid himself of the rather bad headache that had come on, a result of the struggle he'd gone through trying to quell his demon blood. He was starting to wish Kuwabara would hurry up with whatever he was doing and get there so they could get going. Of course, on the other hand, he was still stalling for some reason all his own. He wondered briefly how it would feel to head back to the Makai, this time without Raizen calling him there. He shook his head gently, though not hard enough so that the phoenix's rest was interrupted.

The redhead waited patiently for their friend to return. He somewhat hoped Kuwabara would be here soon, but hoping wasn't going to change how much longer it would take him. He watched the toushin and his counterpart now, for lack of anything better to do.
