Kaitlyn glanced idly at the two creatures behind her, apparently a part of that familiar little group above. Though she'd never met them before...Regardless, the girl grinned. She needn't say a thing, as Vincento would probably read her thoughts anyway. Besides, she didn't think he'd like being caught up with. In a flash, the two were gone, moving faster than ever thought possible. Nothing could catch up to them now. That was, after all, the way the Scavengers had been designed. The girl wondered where this random little group was headed. Perhaps she'd join them? As interesting as the Makai was, it could get rather dull at times...
These thoughts, however, were fleeting, as at the moment she was clinging desperatly to Vincento. He was currently moving upwards of 250 mph, which meant two words to the girl: Hold. On.

The hybrid's eyes widened slightly as she bore witness to the Scavenger's amazing speed. 'Gotta get me one of those...', she mused, highly doubting she could actually find one to keep. She rather liked the large, reptillian beasts. She didn't speed up to try and catch them. Her top speed was a nice 110 MPH when she was in a mood such as today. But if rage and determination spurred her on, she could hit a grand 180 MPH if need be. Rather impressive for a creature that originated from rocky deserts similar to Arizona or Nevada. Her body structure was lightweight and streamlined, making it easy for her to hit such high speeds.

Yusuke paid little attention to sights below him, his ruby gaze fixed ahead as he rode atop his spirit beast. He himself stood with his arms crossed, finding the riding easy enough. Of course, the large bird was a reflection of his soul so one might say it /would/ be rather easy for him. Puu however, didn't seem to like the fact he was carrying a large number of demons. He screeched rather loudly though kept up his flight, Yusuke's demon energy letting them go faster than a usual bird of such standing could fly. The young toushin was focused only on getting to their destination at the moment, "Come on Puu! Faster!" His yells were regarded with a silent agreement from the rather large blue bird as he did his best to speed up.
Having witnessed the speed of the Scavenger, the raven-haired demon lord was somewhat impressed. He quickly went back to staring ahead though, his ruby eyes flashing as his demonic aura flared about him still.

Despite the fact that Shintaru refused to even chance the thought she was quite satisfied with Cheska’s satisfaction. It was rare that the dear girl got out on missions and…hang on a second…mission?..Mission?! She simply could not be out here on syndicate business, the wolf had enough on her plate let alone covering around a group of the most perceptive detectives in all of...well...anywhere!
Ah well, that would come in time, for now the wolf cast her face to the free wind and stared reflectively at the gray blur darting ahead. *It will be wonderful..once we mass produce them we should be able to reestablish our trading cables with the BBC..I suppose she deserves this lanky prototype after all. * She thought, humbled by the fruits of her mind's eye.

Kurama watched as the creature zoomed ahead of them, along with its human rider. Yes, it sparked his curiosity, how and why a human would be in demon world, let alone riding a scavanger, but he could ponder that later. He turned his gaze forward again when it finally blurred out of view, focusing instead on the spirit beast's progress.

Sha-Rin was speeding up as well, wishing to keep pace with his other self o the ground. Jess was much quicker on land than in air, which made some sense. Being in humanoid form most of the time, the hybrid probably didn't have much time to flex her wings. She sped along the ground, about a dragonslength away from the Scavenger beast, a black blur against the dull terra.

Yusuke sighed, glancing about, they'd been at this for nearly a day and a half. Puu would probably want to rest. "Oi, jerks! Let's take a break!" He called out, yelling as best he could, and, for Yusuke, that was quite loud. Puu screeched as well, banking towards the ground to pull off a rather elaborate landing that ended with Yusuke somehow ending up hanging from the large bird's beak cursing silently with a glare at anything in sight. Puu was highly amused with this and crooned, setting his spiritual counterpart on the ground. The young toushin turned towards the mohawked spirit beast and glared up at him, though couldn't help but smile at the sight of the floppy ears and black mohawk.

Kurama smiled at their somewhat strange antics and dismounted the spirit beast with ease, taking a step or two forward to allow the others some room as well before scanning their surroundings. He wondered briefly where the others were at the moment, since at least half of their group had traveled seperately.

Screeching to a halt, the cat-dragon demon girl stopped a few feet behind Yusuke. Sha-Rin flipped and landed daintilly next to his fellow Spirit Beast, making a chuckling noise at the sight of the toushin hanging from the phoenix's beak. Jess yawned and scratched behind one of her ridiculously floppy ears with her foot. The demon's other ear flopped over her face, smacking her repeatedly in the nose. The girl growled and shook her wedge-shaped head around, snorting. It looked rather silly, but she didn't care. Sha-Rin yawned as well, waltzing away into a nearby forest to snag some food.

Kazuma and Shintaru slid from the great blue canary. Despite the fact that both made a smooth enough landing their fanfare was short lived as always. Kazuma who had been sitting closer towards the birds northern most regions, whilst Shintaru had been situated inches south…but it seemed their interests had been directed to oppositely located attractions. The dear carrot-topped youth had taken to scoffing at Yusuke’s dismount while Shintaru has noticed a second gray blur gunning across the plain at speeds upward of three hundred…and heading directly for Vincento and his current saddle warmer. “Incredible…” she whispered awestruck.
Beyond even her acute range of sight the newest of the Scavanger line of male prototypes sped along the ground, his massive toes digging into the earth perhaps only once every hundred yards. Wings held close to the thin frame this beast measured about a foot longer than Vincento and had a much more pronounced snout, Ponzu as Shintaru had so devotedly dubbed the beast. Oddly enough he was even gaunter than Vincento despite his superior size…snaking along the ground his synthetic markings were completely undetectable…of course at this rate invisibility didn’t seem to far from the horizon either. He banked to the side and snaked about Vincento in a wide sweeping gesture halting only a yard or so before his brother. They did communicate despite the fact that they were born deaf. A strange pitchy squawk rang through the arid land as he shook about stretching in the buttermilk sun. His markings slowly caught up with him. The scientists had lovingly dyed nearly his entire rubbery skin a burning white alabaster leaving a multitude of black rings which formed several small black target signs about his thin body.

Kaitlyn giggled slightly at the quickly passing sight of giant blue bird and company, turned back to look forward, and let two words escape her lips. “Oh shit…” Vincento blinked, leaning backwards to help him stop. The way these creatures stop at such speeds as this should probably be explained: They have spikes. Placed neatly on the Scavenger’s heel, roughly one foot from the ground, sit two spikes, which are dug into the ground, stopping the creature at will. However, traveling as fast as they do, the Scavenger should know that it is going to stop before it actually does. This time, though, this was not the case, as Ponzu had just appeared in front of the beast in question. The striped creature’s heels dug into the ground of course, but they had got there a bit too late, sending the Scavenger crashing rather painfully into his brother, giving a slight sort of whimpering moan and sounding a bit dizzied as he collapsed to the ground. Having one’s nerves on the exterior of one’s skin could create some rather painful encounters. . His rider, who’d been holding on for dear life, slipped off his back as he sunk down, holding her head and muttering, “Well that was graceful….”

Ponzu had braced for impact moments before and dug his strong spindly heels deep into the earth. The contact caused him to sway perilously to the side momentarily before stabilizing and withdrawing his heels. * Please Z130, try and control yourself, you should have sensed me quite away off…lest you weren’t paying attention that is..* The beast thought or rather..didn’t think..this is to say that someone with the ability to reads minds would get nothing but jumbled mish-mash…worth absolutely nothing in the language of both demons and men. Being deaf...and yet being able to not just see into someone’s subconscious but quite literally see their mind the scavengers communicated with an advanced code of colorful nervous exertions within the brain…which were you able to see would look a bit like infrared images slung together very quickly. This is to say that when you speak, a similar occurrence takes place in your own mind...not that you care too much about your nervous systems reaction to certain words of thoughts. thusly the scavengers are able to decipher what pretty much any sort of being says without actually hearing a sound….that and their ability to sense their surroundings in a full 3D depiction by measuring changes in the movements of air molecules...although it seemed that for a moment Vincento had abandoned his seventh sense and failed to even sense Ponzu’s hasty approach.

Vincento shook his head slightly, the momentary dizziness from the impact leaving him. The beast slowly stood again, regaining his elegant poise and resolving to stay alert so he could keep it this time. Damn Ponzu. He was always playing these sort of tricks…Vince swiveled his head around to gaze contemptuously at his brother, a rather irritated air about him. *Could you PLEASE not call me that? What’s wrong with calling me Vincento? Or like…Vince, or…Vinny, or –something-…Why do you insist on the numbers? They’re so degrading…* The poor creature loathed the numbers he had originally been given for identification, before any real names had been established. Honestly, the guy liked names. They gave him an identity. *And did you really need to appear like that? I was enjoying myself…*

Ponzu opened his orifice displaying row upon row of hazardous serrated ivory and slid his primary sodden lilac lids shut in an exaggerated sort of mach-sigh. *Because dearest Z130, we were given those numbers upon creation thus they are our birth-tags...not that we were born so to speak… we were hurled into existence without so much as a chance to object on our parts. And we weren’t even thought highly enough to be outfitted with some sort of counterfeit memory bank like all the A.I. have in those nifty Sci-Fi thrillers that that slave-driving wolf mistress is so fond of…no of course not..we were set to work strait off like dogs! Not that I’ve a thing against dogs, they make wondrous dinner conversation. And there I go again Z130, off another damned tangent all because you are incapable of watching your surroundings...I mean in all seriousness...you needn’t even be preoccupied with looking in front of you...your body was designed to process the data for you..how damned lazy must you be to ignore your own nervous reports!?.* He was done with this silent argument, talking with Vincento was always so draining. Ponzu, or Z133 as he preferred shifted his long serpentine neck to the side to better glimpse the company behind. Obviously this was unnecessary seeing as he already had a decent idea of exactly what the company looked like thanks to his ‘Nervous system report’ but it felt..natural, that was all.

(OOC: Sorry, was busy the last two days. But my Spring Break is starting Monday, so no worries!^^)
Ryo was also became quite interested in the Scavenger's great speed also. Even though he wasn't going anywhere that fast right now, he could still do a good 195mph, give or take what energy he'd have to do so. He lives to run, you almost never see him walking anywhere. He thinks walking's a waste when running will get you to places faster. Ryo was only paying mind to keeping up with Yukima right now, and nothing else.
Yukima was right behind the mohawked bird. She was still in deep thought on if she'd she Havoc at this Tournament. There was a 50% chance of that anyhow, so she pushed those worried thoughts away. Hearing Yusuke yell the word 'break' & begin to land Puu, Yukima began to do the same and landed right besides them. As Ryo slowed a bit seeing the others land, he finally came to a stop within a good 3 ft. of Yukima and Kurama.
