(-prods teh poor Puu-)
Yusuke glanced briefly at the newcomer before shrugging and turning back to his Spirit Beast, "Let's go Puu!" He commanded, ruby eyes flashing somewhat as the huge phoenix prepared to take off, "Better hold on!" He was of course, talking mostly to Shintaru as she'd never ridden the over-grown bird before, while the others were quite familiar with him. Yusuke himself was more standing than sitting atop the mohawked phoenix, his demonic energy flaring about his and his counterpart's forms. Puu screeched once before taking flight, his wings beating at the air effortlessly.

He glanced at the new demon once more, knowing there was a possibility he'd be following along as well. Kurama clung onto Puu's feathers as he took to the air, having little trouble since he'd flown on the spirit beast before. He scanned the terrain below them once when they were far off the ground.

Sha-Rin shot off like a bullet, huge wings taking him far. As soon as they'd hit a proper altitude, Jess rolled off her mirror self's back and unfurled her own wings. Each wing was at least as long as the hybrid was tall, and the scales resembled polished obsidian stone. With a few effortless flaps of her wings, Jess was easily gliding by the others, her hair flying like a bronze banner in the wind. Luzzaka followed barely a dragonlength behind, black fire rippling down her spine.

Darting along the ground beneath the group at an easy 40 mph, which was like walking compared to Vincento's top speed, were two figures, though from a bird's eye view they'd look like a very odd one. A terribly long, impossibly thin, and therefore, hardly visible to the flying gathering, creature seemed to be doing all the running. Sitting on top of him was a girl, 15, chocolate tresses flying back in the breeze, thoroughly enjoying the ride. Rather odd, one like her being in the makai at all, let alone riding a beast of legend. How in hell did a human even manage to get into the realm of demons in the first place? Well, that information was for a select few to know and the rest to ignore or fail miserably at tryign to find out. No, really. One could try as hard as one might, but the information was top secret.
Even more of a marvel, though, was the girl's strange ability to survive in this place. Even the weaker demons coudl find it difficult, but this one seemed to be having a grand old time. Kaitlyn yawned slightly, leaning forward to decrease Vincento's wind resistance as much as possible, not that it really mattered to him. He was probably having plenty of fun just getting the chance to be outside.

Shintaru jostled and shook and swung violently about the birds rear, completely ill equipped for such a rutted outing. With little other choice she clung to Kazuma causing him in turn to sway and swing and curse as well. In a final attempt to steady himself Kazuma grabbed a sturdy looking tuft of feathers which caused the wolf to mislay her grasp and roll askew for one engaging second before gathering her poise. "....Cheska?" She inquired rather stupefied by the discovery below. *Who the hell authorized her to use a Scavenger?!...Oh wait...that must of been my doing...best rethink that." Kazuma being so near in audible range caught her hushed whisper and in a similarly bemused manner bent to the side to catch a glimpse of the racing Zebra-Bird (XD) "Hey! Cheska, what the heck are ya’ doin’ in this creepy place?!" Whether or not she could hear him really was of no relevance, he felt that speaking to her initially had already given him the upper hand in any future conversational debates that may ensue.
Ooc| For those of you that don't know quite what a scavanger is(which should be everyone save Cheska ^^; ill include this little excerpt.
In makai legends, great reptilian birds that could be touched by no light flew through the night consuming massive demon carcasses, as well as the smaller living demons. Thusly, demons believed them to be bad omens, delivering only death. The Lady Shintaru decided then that, given this information was true, these creatures would have an untouchable appetite and stomach, though their bodies were quite tender and soft, given their deteriorating food. Their bones were presumably hollow to achieve flight, making it impossible to salvage a skeleton from the legendary beasts, so she created the frame based on the basic make-up of other scavenging demon-fauna.
The creature that stood before the girl was roughly six feet tall at the shoulders. It’s neck extending for three feet, curving to bring it’s head at about the same level as their shoulders. When fully stretched upwards, it could reach heights of roughly 9 feet. The creature's chests was very small, only about a foot in width, and roughly four in length. At the end of each lengthy limb, all four of which reached the ground making then nearly five feet long, are two fingers, or two toes rather that lay flat against the clod cement. The arms each housed a paper-thin film, extending two-three feet out past the fingers when outstretched. These wings were simple: clear elastic panels between long spines reaching out from the arms. The film shifts, adjusting to the wind currents for maximum flight abilities. The total wingspan from tip to tip, roughly fifteen feet.
Several small spines rested along the creature's neck, folding down when appropriate. The spines looked short, only a few inches long, and similar to the build of a fish's fin, each housing a thin flexible muscle. Another thin film connected each spike. Like the wings, this iridescent material is reminiscent of a fly's wing. It tears easily, but will heal in a week's time. The scavengers jaw house hundreds of tiny, razor-sharp teeth, perfect for shredding tough meat and tearing it from the skeletons of decaying demons. When running, or flying, the scavengers flatten out, holding both head and lengthy tail level to the body, creating a sort of flat, aerodynamic platform about 15 feet in length, tip to tip. Top speeds can reach up to 300 mph. The average speed is just a bit slower, though speeds fluxuate so much that an average cannot be accurately calculated.
The creature was very, very black in color, an unimaginable shade. Such a hue makes camouflage during the night superb. They cannot be seen by anything. To avoid losing these creatures in the dark, Shintaru has ordered them painted. Not entirely, but sort of tattooed in a way, to prevent their loss. Each scavenger had been decorated with different designs, all the very purest shade of white. Such a white has never before been imagined, and exists because of the infinite contrast between natural color and paint. Their eyes almost match the paint color, though are perhaps a bit duller, and pupil-less. The creature's eyesight is fairly good, but they also rely on a sensory 3D picture of the area created by extreme sensitivity in their nervous system, with covers the outside of their bodies. This allows them to sense vibrations in the air, and therefore here, feel, taste, and see everything around them.
Okay..maybe not little persay

(is listening to Smile Bomb on her Xanga site) Jess looked below an noticed the odd girl on the by far odder creature. 'What in the name of Baast is /that/?', she thought, flying slightly lower to get a better look at the raree. Sha-Rin spun in the air and started doing aerial tricks, just to show off. The hybrid shook her head, muttering something about Fool's Pride.

Kurama followed their gaze and spotted the odd duo below them as well. Having been a thief in Makai for so long, there were few things he hadn't heard about. The creature was somewhat familiar to him, and he recalled something much like it being discribed to him, though he'd never seen a real one. What made the scene even more attention grabbing was the human girl he saw riding this creature. That was also a first for him.

As Yukima took to the air and followed the other, she glanced down at this new person riding what looked to be a scavanger. She'd never seen this person, but of course she hasn't been to Makia in over 10 longs years, so a great many things where new to the young dragon. Father down, a long distance away was Ryo, who whad not moved from being pumbled be Yukima's tail.
"I'm ok...." Ryo said, as he stood up. From saying that, he knew no one was listening to him when he said that, but he really didn't just it another thought. He was still smiling for making that lie about being Yukima's dad. He loved to joke around and goof off, like Kuwabara would. What he doesn't know, is that there's no more time for fun and games, he needs to be serious, if nothing else. "Fine, it I can't hitch a ride, I'll walk, rather run...." he said. As he went to his tiger form, he darted off and was soon behind Cheska.

Pinioning her wings, Jess went into a dive down to the ground. For a moment, she glided easily a foot or so above the ground, then landed on all fours, running. Seemlessly, she transformed into her demon form. In a way, she looked a bit like a panther, if not a deformed one with freaky-odd wings. Silent and quick, she caught up to Ryo and Cheska in a flash. 'Need a lift?', she asked Ryo telepathically, motioning with her wedge-shaped head up to the large, blue dragon above them. Her enormous ears smacked her face repeatedly if she turned her head anywhere but forward, though, so she didn't look towards the white tiger. Those large, sharp-clawed hind feet and the hard-palmed hands of the mixed breed made it so the tiny rocks and pebbles had little effect on her.

Running on all fours, Ryo looked over to Jess and then up at her dragon, Sha-Rin. He was joking earlier, but it seemed as though Jess though him to be serious when he said that. Ryo was mainly taking to Yukima about that, 'can I get a lift' bit. As he keep running, he turned his gaze up and straight ahead. "No thanks. I'm better off down here. Besides, after what I just pulled, if I go anywhere near little miss Ice Princess, I'll end up a frozen tiger demon." he laughed.
Ryo refered to Yukima as Ice-princess because it was her nickname, being an ice dragon after all. Up in the air, her dragon ears twitched, hearing Ryo's words. He was right though, crossing an Ice Dragon would lead to freezing comeback. But since he was on the ground and she was in the air, he was safe, for now at least.

Jess would've shrugged, but seeing as she was currently running, that was rather impossible without tripping. Turning ahead, she ran beside the scavenger silently. The beast fascinated her, and the first thing that came to her mind was 'land dragon'. Then 'leaper lizard'. Those were the beasts that the cat demons would usually ride to get around her island home of Luna Solo. Of course, leaper lizards were nowhere near as dangerous as the scavengers, but they had similar reptillian traits.

Hiei looked down at the strange beast. It seemed very familiar but he just couldn't find what. The human girl sitting a top the lizard seemed very sure and proud of herself, not to mention that she was enjoying the ride. How could a human come across such creature and not only survive the encounter but befriend it aswell?
