The soft, mossy grass shifted under the oni's feet as he walked down the worn path. Birds chirped high in the trees, seemingly oblivious to the pair of crimson orbs gazing up through the branches. It was a peaceful day, but, Hiei suspected, just the calm before the storm. His black cloak swished as he continued down the path into the city. Sunlight filled the streets and humans walked back and forth in the crowded area. As much as he didn't want to be here, Hiei had to squeeze through the mass of bodies. Koenma had asked him to be present at today's meeting.
(I don't like it, but it'll do)

A yawn. A stretch. She wouldn't open her eyes. No, she wouldn't. She would keep them closed and downright refuse to get up. Accursed mornings. No, no, no....She'd not let the daylight have her. She simply would not do it. She would go right back to sleep...She'd--.....Damn. After a slight yawn, pale jade eyes blinked up at an eggshell ceiling. Mornings should die. Slow and painful deaths. Yes. Slow and painful. And very fun to watch.
Violent thoughts for a 15 year old, but...With her background, it wasn't surprising. Few knew this, her background, though, and she was quite sure that the majority of the world wouldn't believe her background if they knew it anyway, so it really didn’t matter, and, in all honesty, it was their loss. Her background might make an interesting novel. ...Maybe she'd write it.
She thought about this as she sat up, slowly, to avoid dizziness, chocolate tresses lifting from their comfortable rest on her pillow, and reforming about her head in one of those messy 'just-rolled-out-of-bed' styles. This was perfectly fitting, as she swung her feet over onto the ground, stretched again, and....Fell backwards, eyes regaining their view of the ceiling.
“And again, I repeat my philosophy: Mornings are evil.”
No one had ever said talking to one’s ceiling was odd…In fact, very few people mentioned ceilings. Therefore, there was no general opinion of one talking to one’s ceiling, which prevented this from marking her as crazy, psychotic, weird, etc. Joy.
Yawning yet again, pushed herself up on her elbows, stared at the wall a moment, blinked a few times, and sighed. With that daily routine done, Kaitlyn proceeded to stand, open the closet door, blindly pull a pair of faded jeans and a pale blue tee shirt, and make her way to the bathroom for a nice cold shower. Maybe she’d eventually get around to suing the school for causing sleep deprivation. Maybe…<br>

The light essence of roses swept through the human world. Many never understood why this girl carried a rose with her everywhere. Many did not want to know.
Kurumi's light green eyes glistened in the light moonlight. The simple calm, night breeze blew her scarlet hair where-ever it please. She spent more time alone in a forest than she did with people. The Meiou high, female school uniform resided upon her body. A fox demon living umong humans was all she was.
All this girl wanted was to be a normal human. Never to hide her true self. If only If only...

Little Donovan let out a huge yawn, and rubbed his hazel brown eyes. "I can't believe he made me leave the house this early. Does he think this is going to keep me from getting into mischeif? Ha! Just wait. I'll get you, Mytho." Donovan is eight years old. He is a real trouble maker. He loves to annoy people whenever he can. The teachers at his elemetory school hate him, because he plays tricks on them all the time. Sometimes he plays the oldest tricks, but they all work. He lives with his twenty-three year old brother, Mytho. He loves wearing his #10 jersey and his black and blue converse tennis shoes. And he always keeps his hickery wood brown hair under a backwards, sports cap. But this early in the morning the only thing he's thinking about is which prank to start the day off with. "I got it! It's off to the candy store to mess with Mytho at work!"

A girl of about 16 sat asleep on the rooftop of a building in the dead of night. Her long silver hair blew in the light breeze. Her eyes were closed. She wore loose blue jeans, a short-sleeved red t-shirt with a black flame on the front and black fingerless gloves. As dawn approached her dark indigo eyes flickered open, she had sensed something. ¡°Who's there?¡± she asks. As if someone answered her question, a strange portal appeared and she stepped though. Who knows where I'm going now she thought. At the other side of the portal, she was greeted by a blinding sunlight. She blinked repeatedly at the change in light. As she gradually adjusted to the sunlight, she saw that she was now in a forest clearing; she recognized the lush green pine trees, the swaying, yet calm willow tree, and a bundle of houses close together. Home sweet home she thought as she scanned the island looking for people. Oddly, there was no one in sight. She looked up at the darkening sky and knew it was going to rain. It was pretty bad by the looks of things. She ran back to her village, but no one was there either. She finally found a small cave and looked up again. Dark, ominous clouds glared down at her "Looks like I'll just have to wait it out." She said to herself as the rain started to pour down.
(about time I posted this... My mind was blank for like over 4 months -.-)
